We tend to forget about fitness at your desk sometimes, with everything that goes on in our lives. You may not even know how to maintain health and fitness at the office. Many people believe the only way to stay in shape is to do strenuous exercises at the gym, but there are simple seated exercises that you can apply to your daily office routine to help you out.

1. Your Eyes

Occasionally take a break from looking at the screen look at something at a distance to give your eyes something different to look at. Staring at the screen all day can really strain your eyes. Roll your eyeballs in circles clockwise and then counterclockwise.

2. Your Fingers and Hands

Give your hand a good squeeze for 5 seconds or so and then release. When you release extend your fingers all the way out so you can get a good stretch. This will help you loosen your fingers.

3. Your Shoulders

Do a shoulder shrug and then roll your shoulders forwards for about 30 seconds and then do the same thing going backwards. This will help you relieve some tension in your shoulders.

4. Your Back

You lower back can tighten up. To loosen up your back, place your hands on your lower back and lean back, creating a small arch, stretching your lower back. You can also arc yourself in the other direction like scared cat would and stretch your back in the other direction as well.

5. Your Back Part II

Sitting in your chair, turn your head to one side and twist your body slowly holding onto the chair.

6. Your Legs

Stand up out of your chair, bend over and try to touch your toes, stretching your hamstrings out. You can also stand shoulder widths apart and lean to one side and the other to stretch your inner thighs.

7. Your Wrist

Every hour or so, shake your wrists out in a circular fashion back and forth to loosen up those wrists. You can also rotate them clockwise and counterclockwise as well for the same affect.
